"Puma" knit — a dense, double-sided brushed fabric from a new generation of knits.
PENELOPE is made from "Puma" knit fabric (85% polyester, 15% spandex), with a density of 290 g/m². A matte face side with a light velour effect and a soft short pile on the reverse make the fabric gentle against the skin — with none of the "squeakiness" typical of cheap synthetics.
Warmth without the weight. The short, dense, double-sided pile traps millions of microscopic air pockets between the fibers — and air, as we know, is a poor conductor of heat. This layer acts as a natural barrier: holding your body heat in and keeping outside cold out, without adding bulk.
Dry skin, even when you're active. Unlike cotton, which absorbs moisture into the fiber and stays damp for a long time, the polyester fibers in "Puma" pull moisture from the skin's surface and carry it to the fabric's outer layer, where it evaporates quickly. Skin stays dry — especially useful when the set is worn as a warm base layer on cold days.
Breathable despite the density. The fabric is knitted, not woven — the loops leave microscopic gaps for air to circulate freely. Even at 290 g/m², there's no "sauna effect" under your clothes.
Stretch that remembers its shape. Thanks to the spandex, the fabric stretches both ways — widthwise and lengthwise — and snaps right back after stretching. That's why the knees and seat of the pants never bag out, even after months of regular wear.
- resistant to pilling
- barely wrinkles, no ironing needed
Care:
Machine wash on a delicate cycle at up to 30°C, with liquid detergent — powder detergent doesn't rinse out well from the dense pile.
Spin gently, no more than 600-800 rpm.
Dry laid flat, away from radiators and direct heat — high temperatures damage the spandex.
